Today it’s time to talk about one of the most important topics that concerns how we can achieve things at our greatest potential. Before starting try to answer the following question: What is the essence that stands behind any achieved goal? Try to think about it. Is it Determination? Not yet. Is it Willpower? Not yet. Is it related to emotions? Yes, it is and I am speaking about the Desire-Force. If you notice what is around us, you will see that behind every ACTION there is always the DESIRE to do that specific action. The Desire-Force is what makes you move to do something.
Why am I speaking about this?
Without any desire, there is no movement is this world. If you notice the animal realm you can observe plenty manifestations of that. The lion desires to eat the prey and moves his legs. The prey desires to escape to survive and moves her legs. These manifestations bring us to the understanding that whatever action is determined by a precedent impulse that we call with the word DESIRE. This “desire” is no other than a kind of energy that is present in our universe. There are basically two types of energies that constitute our universe. Masculine and Feminine. The Desire-Force belongs to the Feminine one.
I will explain these things with more details later on but for now, let’s come back to our central topic that actually is the importance of “feeling things inside before acting”.
First, however, I will need to introduce you a simple principle:
The more Desire energy you “produce” the more likely you are to accomplish things in life.
And in the specific:
The more Desire Energy you direct at one specific “thing”, the more likely you are to obtain this “thing”.
Basically, this means that the more we feel some burning desire about something, the more energetic potential we have at our disposal. More energetic potential at our disposal means having more resources from where we can glean.
Putting it in another way, the more we want something and the more likely we will be able to obtain it.
Like Eric Thomas said in his quote:
“When you want to succeed as bad as you wanted to breathe, then you’ll be successful.”
Contrary to what many people say, the ways in which we can reach a goal is not only strictly influenced by our determination or persistence. Of course, these are aspects without it would be impossible to reach certain degrees of success but they are not the whole story because it is necessary to consider the other face of the medal. This other face (the feminine aspect, i.e. Desire-Force) shows us that we can “reach” things in life depending on the degree to which we desire them or, speaking as Eric does “how bad we want them”.
Now you may ask yourself “how can l desire things more?”.
This is not as simple as improving your Willpower as we did in the previous exercises of the previous posts. Improving willpower lays on the other face of the medal (the Masculine one) and requires this kind of energy to be improved. In simpler words, you can control the degree of development of the first aspect but you can’t do the same with the second one. In fact, the degree to which you desire something cannot be commanded at will because you cannot force yourself to desire something.
Then how can you harness this desire and make it burn even more?
The best way is to appeal to your emotional mind by the means of Visualization. You may see me always advising to visualize but guys, really, it is a fundamental action that needs to be implemented in your daily routine. By visualizing you will make your mind feel almost the same thing as if the experience was real. This is why you can get an immediate desire for things when you visualize them. This is also how marketing campaigns about food products work. They, trough specific words, sounds or images make you imagine the taste or aspect of the food. This is just happening in your imagination yet it is an effective trigger of your desire to eat in this case.
Now you may ask me: “What if I just force myself to do things without desiring them first? I have the free will to do it even if I don’t desire.”
Yes you do have free will to do whatever comes to your mind but let me ask you a question back:
From whom would you get help in the case of a medical need, everything else being equal in those subjects?
A: From a doctor that does not like his job, does it just for the money and does not even care about your health?
B: From a doctor that loves what he does and desires to help people?
I stress a lot the importance of selecting what you do by the Desire-Force and then carrying the things out with your well-developed Willpower. No one will stop you once you are driven by your inner desires because you have a greater advantage over most of the population that lives like robots and does not have a feeling of involvement in what they do during their whole days; what a sad life they are living.
Remember always this formula: Strong Desire = Outstanding Outcomes.
